Le Tandoori — Restaurant in Lyon

Usually places like this one come with a certain equilibrium where you can tell the food will be amazing by how bad the hygiene is and by the way customers are treated. Because when a venue doesn't put any effort in their cleanliness and politeness but somehow it is still in business, their food must be exceptional because that's all they care about and that's not a bad thing.

But after eating here a few times I have to say that their food isn't extraordinary and it definitely doesn't make up for the lack of hygiene (there's a mess and an old wc at the back on the way to the toilet, staff isn't wearing masks ether and pass sanitaire isn't being checked) and the service... Oh boy the service is terrible, as bad as the hygiene. Like you'd expect from your local kebab shop, only that the food isn't that good.

I thought about giving them a second chance because they do look like they'd have all the qualities of a great Tandoori/Kebab shop but the flavours aren't really worth the pain.

If you're looking for a quick bite/snack in the middle of the night, let's say after 4-5 pint of beer or one too many rhums, this is the perfect place to go! The food is really delicious for the price compared to the rest of the fast foods on the area still open at this hour. The cheese nan is incredible, the chicken is well spiced and cooked so it's not too dry. The fries could use a bit more love though as they're a bit too floury. Finally for the sauce I recommend the Pili pili sauce if you're used to spicy stuff, otherwise the other options are good as well. Beware although, the hot sauce is extremely spicy and I would not recommend you to try 😅 finally, you can eat inside, the place is clean enough and has 4 tables that can allow...

I used to like this restaurant, because tandoori taste really good. BUT one day I went to the toilet outside the restaurant and I saw a very big rat!!! I ran back inside saying that I saw the rat, but no one seemed to be surprised!!! The owners are aware, but do nothing about it. Terrible experience, I will never go back to this place again. Also they pretend that they can’t accept the card, only cash to not pay...
