Una deliziosa cena presso il PY Restaurant

Sono stato a cena al locale in occasione di un weekend con la mia fidanzata a Lione, città rinomata per i suoi ottimi ristoranti. Il ristorante PY é stata un po’ una scommessa in quanto non conoscevamo bene il locale e abbiamo voluto provare la sua proposta culinaria.

A livello di cibo siamo rimasti più che soddisfatti, la qualità è risultata eccellente e il personale gentile, la quantità sufficiente e la presentazione dei piatti ricercata e ammirevole.

Entrambi abbiamo optato per i menù antipasto+piatto+dessert

Personalmente, ho optato per: Noix de Saint-Jacques en ceviche à la bergamote, collection de primeurs du marché aux sucs de petits pois, orange sanguine en condiments Cabillaud rôti comme un couscous à la semoule d’orge, velours de pois chiche acidulé, légumes à l’huile de citron et piment nioja Alliance de café et Baileys, crème au mascarpone et craquants au cacao, glace au café.

La mia ragazza invece: -Assiette de fromages Œuf de plein air façon « parfait » dans une bouillabaisse végétale aux pommes de terre nouvelles, « Pa Amb Oli » Mallorquin. Sorbet au shiso et prune japonaise, crémeux de cheesecake, ananas écrasé, crumble au soja et mélasse de sucre.

Abbiamo accompagnato la cena con un mezzo litro di vino bianco consigliatoci dalla sommelier.

Il tutto 114€, prezzo più che onesto.

Ciononostante, le 4 stelle su 5 sono dovute a un problema riscontrato in fase di ordine degli antipasti: infatti, vi era solo un antipasto dei quattro proposti dal menu rimasto disponibile, e costava 10€ di supplemento. Ora, ritengo che poiché la scelta é stata obbligata, dovesse essere offerta una riduzione del supplemento stesso, ma posso anche capire che alla fine è una mia scelta ordinarlo o meno e dunque nessun problema. La mia ragazza invece, non amando particolarmente la scelta dell’unico antipasto rimasto, ha chiesto dei formaggi come piatto di antipasto (in Francia considerati alla pari di un dessert), i quali sono stati sovrapprezzati di 1€, una scelta alquanto strana e che, a mio parere, poteva essere...

Strange and underwhelming experience with disappointing service and food.

1st the service - as the restaurent filled up, the staff disappeared… I couldn’t get an other glass of wine, our mains came out much too quickly (under 3 minutes after ordering). The dessert menu was given but the by the time the server came to take the order we were no longer interested. The FOH staff are nice but appear disorganized.

We ordered 2 mains - both of which I felt were too ambitious with too many contrasting flavors and themes. The food was well prepared but I’m unsure how they work together.

Cuisine: 9/10 It’s a Michelin guide restaurant for a good reason! excellent dishes, well prepared, well presented, balanced, delicious! thoughtful cuisine, fresh ingredients.. The soup and the salad where excellent! The meat is cooked to perfection The fish was very good, however the dish is a bit sweet and needs something to balance the sweetness.
