(Last visited 11/4/2021.) In Lyon on business and staying at the Crowne Plaza, but I don't feel like digging the car out of the parking garage underneath, I walk behind the hotel to check out what's there and this is what I found...
Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the back alley pedestrian street behind the Crowne Plaza is this gem. It's a beautiful mojito bar that's wonderfully decorated with an open concept floor plan. The drop-ceiling was a lil' underwhelming, but the artifacts spread around the walls along with the floor-standing art definitely helped out a lot. The music was chill and big chairs were comfortable.
Service: Kevin took care of us and he was okay. It could've been the language barrier, but I ain't trippin'. He was busy and running around all over the place so I cut him some slack.
Food: I went with this Mexican combination plate. On it was some onion rings, a small salad, a taco, a quesadilla, 2 wings, guacamole and tortilla chips. Every single thing on the plate was very underwhelming. I mean... what did I really expect from a Mexican restaurant in Lyon, France? I don't know, but I certainly wouldn't order that again. My co-worker said he really enjoyed his double-cheeseburger.
Value: My plate was 15€. I mean, I guess. This place isn't expensive, but it's closer to the cheaper and more affordable side.
In conclusion, I wouldn't come back here. It was fine for what it was and for not having to drive anywhere, but in the spirit of supporting local businesses, check this place out if you're in the area. Hopefully you have a better experience and enjoy some better food than I had!

Read moreThe service and food are extraordinarily bad and unsatisfying. We had a really disappointing experience at the place. If you are here as tourist and living in the hotel nearby, don't come. The receptionist might recommend this place to you but you'd better be careful when you take the advice.
Watch out the bill if they overcharge you. If you don't take the credit card receipt, they're gonna kick you out of the restaurant and and deny the payment. We got 8 euros overcharged because the man at the counter was pushing us to pay an extra amount, don't allow anytime for calculation and blaming us for 'having too many people at the counter'. He showed extreme irrationality and unprofessionalism. The lady at the counter was helping us with the payment first and he cut through without listening to anybody about how the payment has progressed. And he was rude and shirking responsibility when we pointed out the overcharge.
Regarding food, entrecote is a must not since it was fully cooked and dry and hard to chew. They offered a new one but it was not matching the price...
Read moreI gave 3 stars because of the staff. The staffs are very nice, friendly and active. However, that's the only good point. As a californian, I wouldn't say this restaurant serves any food from California, not even close ! They do serve somewhat / so called Mexican food. I didn't see any basic Mexican cuisine ingredients like Pinto beans, black beans, Guajillo, etc. in their Tacos, Burrito, Quesadilla. Nothing tasted like Mexican cuisine at all. Although it's a "monitor bar" -their mojito are not good at all. They are just water with syrup and mint leaves. The restaurant is very beautiful, good place setting, a nice place to hang out with friends and we enjoyed our time there. But don't go if you are looking for Mexican or Californian cuisine ! P.S. there were mice walking inside the restaurant and apparently it's normal, the servers were not surprised or...
