Le Relais de l'Abbaye — Restaurant in Mâcon

This hotel/bar/restaurant is a good little stop off if your heading from Calais to the south of France , two minutes off the motorway.|It’s a rustic place like walking into an old fashion ski lodge. The rooms are pretty basic but again like being in a ski lodge which gives it a unique character, the family room is a two storey room but beware of the steps up to the first floor of this room they are rather steep.|No kettle to make a coffee or tea or even warm the baby’s milk.|Was very disappointed with the food I ordered in their restaurant, I ordered tartiflette (my favorite food) it arrived and was stone cold in the middle, they took it away and it took so long to be sorted out that my children had almost finished their food except my youngest child who was sharing my food, I was rather annoyed that when it came back it was over cooked and burnt to the point that most of it was inedible I fed what I could to my little one and left the rest ( which was a lot) and they still charged me for it! The waiter didn’t even ask if the food was okay at any point and had got the dessert order wrong. |Back to the room the nights sleep wasn’t two bad apart from when someone was returning to the hotel after midnight and we were woken by them slamming the garage door shut that was underneath our room.|Upon checking out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay, if we had slept well or if breakfast and dinner was okay. Alors.... Que dire.... 🤔.... Go, voilà les raisons de la seule étoile !!

Repas avec des amis le samedi 08 février Endroit sympa dans la première salle, moins sympa dans la deuxième avec des baches translucides pour faire office de fenêtres sur cette pièces qui est plutôt une pièce d'été (mais c'est posé proprement).... Donc en février on sent quelques courant d'air froid pas top agréable quand on est à table ....Allez ne soyons pas trop difficile....

Repas pas mal, assez sympa et quantité OK (brochette, frites, salade)....Correct.... Prix un peu cher quand même..... Mais bon... On ne va pas trop critiquer ça... 🙂

Ce qui est par contre déplorable, c'est au moment du service de l'apéritif, que mon amie se prenne trois verres de crémant sur le pantalon dû à la maladresse du serveur !! 🤔

Ok, on a pris ça ça du bon côté, il n'y a pas mort d'homme et on ne crie pas au scandale, on éponge, on garde le sourire.... tout le monde peut faire un erreur et être maladroit.... 🙏

On nous ramènera 3 verres... Mais.... 😖

Ce qui est nettement plus désagréable voire déplorable c'est qu'aucune excuse n'est présentée.... Ça semble normal de renverser l'apéro sur les jambes du client.....Ben oui !! 🫨

Et ce qui est nettement nettement plus déplorable, c'est qu'au moment de l'addition, on vous fait tout payer..... On oublie de faire ce petit geste commercial qui gomme la boulette du genre offrir l'apéritif de mon amie ou alors offrir les 3 cafés....160 euros de note.... Ce n'est pas un apéro à 2 euros ou 3 café à 1 euros ( en prix de revient) qui va grever le chiffre d'affaire 2025 !! Donc radin en plus !! Wouh !!

Bravo pour le cumul des mandats..... Des champions du monde 😎 Vous faites quoi dimanche ?? J'ai un repas avec des amis 😉

Et quand vous faites "gentiment" la remarque au gars qui vous facture le repas, vous voyez qu'il en a absolument rien à foutre, petit sourire qui en dit long !! Bingo 🤗... La totale !! 😜

Bref, c'est mesquin, malsain et adresse pas forcément à retenir, on voit bien que le savoir vivre, le respect, la courtoisie, l'envie, le ptit truc en plus qui fait que.... Ils ont définitivement quitté ce lieu.... 🙄

Sachez cher propriétaire que c'est ce qui fait l'âme d'un bon et simple restaurant.... Hé bien ici, ce n'est pas le cas !! 😝

On n'y reviendra pas..... Mais le patron s'en fou je m'en...
