I was in Marseille last week and I was staying at the Inter Continental and as I went up the road I saw a Patisserie which boasted gluten Free and lactose free food. I am allergic to eggs, dairy and gluten and I thought that I might as well give it a try. Walking into the shop I was greeted by the owner and I explained my dietary restrictions and he was so eager to show me all of his items that I would be able to eat. He had cookies, cakes, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches and so much more. I have had my allergy for only a year so i know what the normal side tastes like and I have to be one hundred percent honest that La Pépite had if not better at least the same quality and taste as "Normal" Food. I was so dumbstruck by the quality and just the ability that I could eat the food that i went there 2 more times during my stay in Marseille. I have not eaten any deserts in a year and this modest but beautiful shop in Marseille changed my outlook on the dietary restrictions i have received. I can only say thank you for letting me try some of the best gluten free, lactose free and egg free pizza (tomato sauce and lactose free cheese are so ridiculously good), cakes, pastas and cookies. Every item I was so happy with and next time I am in Marseille I will...

I recently visited La Pépite in the Le Panier district of Marseille, and I couldn’t recommend it enough! As a coeliac, it’s always a bit challenging to find safe and delicious gluten-free options, but La Pépite made it a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive, making sure that my dietary needs were met with ease. Not only did they offer an amazing selection of gluten-free pastries and savory options, but they also had choices for those who are lactose intolerant, which was a big plus!
The quality of the food was exceptional, with fresh, flavorful ingredients that made every bite a treat. The cozy atmosphere made it a perfect stop while exploring the beautiful Le Panier area. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Marseille! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for gluten-free, allergy-friendly options in a...
Read moreI am not one to offer negative reviews typically. Unfortunately the service experience here yesterday warranted it. My daughter (who is Coeliac and lactose intolerant) ordered a sandwich takeaway at 1:05 in the afternoon. She patiently waiting until after 1:30, when many others had come and gone. As the sandwich had not arrived, she very politely asked if hers might be on the way, to which she received a “of course”, then the lady turned to the male coworker and they both laughed, with clear reference to my daughters question. In the end it was nearly 40 minutes wait for a simple salmon sandwich and piece of carrot cake. The food is excellent (and expensive - not a complaint) for those with dietary needs, but the service was very poor and ultimately disrespectful....
