7VB Café — Restaurant in Marseille

I was really looking forward to visiting 7Vie Est Belle after seeing the beautiful photos and glowing reviews online, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t match the expectations.

The café area itself is charming at first glance, but it’s not a place where you can comfortably work on your laptop. If you want to work while you eat or have a coffee, you’re required to sit in their so-called “coworking space” — which, unfortunately, is not a proper coworking setup at all. It’s just a few small tables awkwardly arranged in a dark, windowless room tucked away at the back of the building. The space feels more like a storage area than a place designed for work. When I was there, the cafe was empty, but I was still directed to the coworking area.

The Wi-Fi is very weak and mobile internet doesn’t work properly in the coworking space — because of its layout and thick walls — which makes it nearly impossible to do anything online.

Food options are limited too — just some sweets and quiche. I ordered the quiche and it came on a piece of cardboard instead of a plate, with no sides. More like a snack than a meal.

Sadly, the service didn’t lift the experience either. The staff seemed disengaged and slightly unfriendly, which added to the overall sense of disappointment.

In short, it might be a nice place for a quick coffee if you’re not planning to work or eat a meal, but it’s not suitable as a working café or for a satisfying lunch. The...

Well, there was nice ambience. Did not understand why were the constant Jesus songs. I spent couple of hours there. Drunk a slightly cold mocha. But the waiters were so nice. ( Some of them. Continue for the rest). The sandwich was also good and I asked if tea was including in the menu. They said no. So I didnt ask for drink. The lady came and said 'but you can have the tea aside'. Well, I am from Turkey, we drink tea much more than water. It is quite cheap for us even though its not only a tea bag, they boil it with the tea.. So for me it does not make sense to pay almost a sandwich price to a cup of hot water with a tea bag. She convinced me by saying its only 1 or 1-5 euros. Well I said okay. In the end they charged me for 3 euros. When I said the price I knew she laughed 'ohh no'. The excuse was 'ohh that waiter started to work only couple of days ago, she does not know well'. The awkward silence we had, since maybe I was waiting for a sorry for misconceiving. We are people, of course we can do mistakes. It was not the new waiter's fault. It was the fault of the experienced one who did not apologies, did not even bother to offer discount since her cafe employee charged me more than they propose. I felt cheated for couple of hours. Das Sandwich war ebenso lecker, mit frischen Zutaten und einer harmonischen Kombination von Aromen, die meine Geschmacksknospen verwöhnten.

Der Service im 7VB Café war aufmerksam und freundlich, und das Personal schien stolz darauf zu sein, seine Gäste mit einer angenehmen Erfahrung zu versorgen. Das Ambiente war gemütlich und stilvoll, mit einer Einrichtung, die die reiche Kultur Marseilles widerspiegelt.
