Excellent a-typical kind of French bakery, no croissants etc but some classic stuff like fougasse, one of the best slices of quiche or is it tarte? I call what they have a quiche but they call it tarte, it’s really delicious. Don’t worry the rest of the set up is verrry typically French attitude. I only wish they would stop making coffee (there’s plenty of dedicated coffee shops in the neighborhood so this bakery is too special to be clogged up on a Saturday doing lattes when they should be passing out breads) or at least swap to like a drip coffee quick set up (not like any French are so particular about coffee setups) & free up the limited...

This bakery is so exceptionally good that my friends and I stayed to try every single pastries and some of the sandwiches. It is great to try local pastries that cannot be found in Paris. Their coffee is also super good! (Not the bad Richard coffee that seems to dominate cafes in France.)

Tout simplement le meilleur boulanger bio de tout Marseille!!! (depuis le temps j'ai eu le temps de faire un petit coucou à TOUS ses concurrents: Le Bar à pain reste le meilleur !!!). Voire le meilleur boulanger de cette ville question pain à l'ancienne (= au levain donc). Très souvent le coeur des pains des autres boulangers bio est mal cuit et pâteux : au bar à pain la cuisson est parfaite même au coeur de la boule de pain.

Mon pain préféré ? celui aux graines !!! Une mention spéciale pour sa "ficelle marseillaise" (un petit pain en longueur parfumé avec des olives et du romarin : exceptionnel !)

Accueil toujours agréable. Qualité ultra régulière de ses produits. Le buns à la cannelle, la tarte d'aigue morte ou le fondant au citron sont à tomber. Si il y a la queue jusque dans la rue tous les samedi ça n'est pas pour rien !!! Voilà cela fait des années que j'aurais du faire ce post, eh bien...
