PAUL — Restaurant in Marseille

The service here is great. I found the two people that helped me to be very attentive and helpful with everything that I needed. I don’t speak French and they were more than happy to speak with me in English. I liked 3 out of the 4 items that I ordered.

I really enjoy their 2 citron tartelette. It’s the first thing I get when I go to a Paul, it’s my second time having it from this specific location and it never disappoints. Just the right amount of sweetness and citrus l, with the edible white chocolate (assuming) Paul engraved topping, it is delightful.

The canelé was delightful! I took a chance by ordering this, I’ve never had it before and didn’t really know what it was. The bourbon flavor is well pronounced and the pastry is more dense than you’d imagine by looking at it, I’m glad I just ordered 1, the inside is soft and tasty.

From the first picture- I did not like the blueberry pastry, it looked appealing but it tasted as if the blueberries were soaked in some sort of strong citrus. The pistachio macaron was fine, typical tasting nothing out of the ordinary.

Spent close to 20 euros for all 4 pastries which is a bit much, but I enjoyed most of it and I know it must’ve taken a lot of work to make these as beautiful and tasty...

J'achète trois cookies, une bouteille d'eau et un coca, le total = 17euros...incroyable, je suis en ce moment en direction de Paris et dans mon train mais j'ai toujours cette addition en travers de la gorge. C'est pas Parceque vous êtes renommé et connu que vous allez vendre du rêve aux dormeurs😪plus jamais je n'acheterais chez vous...même un tacos au coin de la rue m'aurait coûté 9 euros grand max, j'aurais dû gardé ma fin pour le trajet car là j'ai toujours faim, pas été remboursé et les cookies partis en moins de 3 mn...n'achetez jamais rien chez eux, si j'ai pas retourné la nourriture et me suis fais rembourser c'est parceque j'avais attendu un long moment avant de me mettre quelque chose dans le ventre, et svp mettez un menu avec prix sur vos photos sur internet, c'est pas pro...et PS : je suis black quand on paye à ce prix c'est pour bien manger, pas manger au prix d'un plat sur les champs Élysées en ayant que trois foutus cookies, une foutu petite bouteille d'eau cristalline et un foutu coca à 17 euros. Ils savent qu'ils sont la dernière option et qu'ils sont votre dernier espoir avant de prendre un moyens de transports ils misent sur ça parcequ'ils savent que vous pensez à la longueur du trajet en ayant un ventre vide, on devrait faire une pétition sur leurs prix et leurs services.
