Nice place, with a good location.
But unfortunately the staff only speaks French, or very very limited English. Which is a problem as they don't even have an interest in using their knowledge of the language to meet the international customer.
We had intended to eat three courses but ended up leaving the restaurant disappointed after two courses. The starters (Pate Lorrain and Escargots) were in themselves quite okay, but the main courses (Entrecote) were not okay. First, they mixed up our dishes with different degrees of doneness, and none of them were particularly close to the one ordered. The pieces of meat were also not cut straight, but extremely unevenly thick, i.e. in one case, cut through at one end and raw at the other. Undoubtedly among the worse entrecotes we have eaten in France, and we have eaten many over the years. In addition, it was obvious that the dishes had been left under a heat lamp for a long time as the sauce had a thick film.
When we were asked if everything was okay, and answered that maybe it wasn't, the waiter started blaming the kitchen, and that the waiter was innocent. Instead of thinking about how to turn a dissatisfied customer into a slightly less dissatisfied customer For us, it was of course uninteresting who did what, or why it turned out the way it did.
Disappointed, we left the restaurant, and will not be coming back, and went out to the Christmas market in the nearby square, which was truly amazing, before returning to...
Read moreBeautiful interior, terrible service. The waitress was extremely unpleasant and treating us like we are not welcome. The foodâŠâŠ..Iâm speechlessâŠ. They show off their dry aged meat on the display but they serve just a really dry and chewy steak with no proper searing. Our kid is really into seafood, so we ordered the dish that was described as a stew/soup with shrimps and scallops ( and I know all the french classics, especially this dish, so it was a big surprise for me ). What we received was a soup(served with no spoon) with 1 shrimp and dry fish/overboiled potatoes. On the photo that Iâve attached is not a piece of dry chicken breast- itâs their way to serve scallops. The bearnaise sauce was crusty...
   Read moreBonjour ,
