Beach Coffee — Restaurant in Montpellier

My wife's purse was stolen from her bag here. We went back they said they found her bag the purse was missing. Then my lap Top went missing while we were asking them about the purse. I started shouting and they mysteriously found my lap. Top inside the kitchen. We are making a police report now. These people are thieves do not go to this place. The food was average. Now we have to replace cards ID everything they stole. I would like someone to find my wife's ID.. Driving license etc... Im not worried about the money and the other stuff. If these items were found and returned I would be very greatfull and I would be happy to tell world how pleased we are to have our stuff back... Since then the Gendarmerie have called to tell my wife to remove this opinion... Well.. She didn't write it so she can't.. Makes you wonder though...how come the Gendarmerie did this? Is this normal in France? As its a clear breach of eu data protection law and our civic rights... No news of the missing purse stolen ID cards though..clearly its more important to threaten the victims of crime than to assist them Given that the three people in the Restaurant all told us they found the hand bag in different places it does make You wonder as to what the procedure is for investigating this kind of theft....i wonder if the Gendarmerie lady is a friend...

Been there a few times this late April (29th of April), and every time at 10:30 AM, they no longer had breakfast! 10:30, to my knowledge, is still morning! The waiter said both times, they ran out of breakfast. 10:30 seems a little early to run out of breakfast! And they could offer something else. But they didn't. So we went to the beach close by and were there at around 11 AM. Same issue. However, the waiter kindly offered a few solutions… They even gave us a tart at 9 Euros for a total of 9 Euros, fresh Orange juice and coffee included per person.

Just saying that if you run out of breakfast at 10:30 AM, people who come just for that should know that you run out of it at 10:30 (asking people to wake up earlier in their vacation is nonsense). You are called beach coffee, after all. And, yes, I understand there are logistics issues. Still, if you have about 100 seats available, you should account for it and if you indeed run out, it may happens, maybe provide other solutions (Just saying instead of sending your customer to the next restaurant!!).

Next time the least you can do is to put up a sign to say that no breakfast is available so that your clients do not waste their time sitting, waiting to be served by your...

We went here to get some dinner at the end of the day. The waiters were nice, unfortunately some of the food just wasn’t that good. The foie gras entrée was a tasty beginning but the main dishes like the pièce du boucher and tagliatelle magret de canard were disappointing. They were both not cooked right as requested and the canard was just basically big pieces of fat, there was barely any meat in them. The tagliatelle itself was also drowning in some kind of grease soup and it was just not prepared right. The presentation of the food was very nice though and we did enjoy the filet de poulet grillé even if the other food wasn’t as expected. Unfortunately we decided to not get the dessert in the end in fear that we would get even more...
