Le Yam's — Restaurant in Montpellier

Not far from YouCom's Montpellier office is Le Yam's. Situated in La Place de la Comédie, a central meeting spot, it's not far from the train station (down the road to the left in the photo) or from the taxi rank. Le Yam's serves ok food (their entrecote et frites est trés bon / steak & chips is nice there) but the atmosphere is why you go to Le Yam's. We ate inside because it was cold. The waiter was nice but tge service was slow. I had pork ribs with french fries. There were only 2 and they were huge and really hard to eat. The fries were just warm. We waited 30 mn for our food so I didn't have the patience to send back my food . My friend had the pasta, which was "ok" but had a lot of sauce in it. I have eaten here before, outside, on the terrasse, for lunch and the experience was much nicer! And the food was better. This time, unfortunately, we were...

It took a long wait for the order to be taken and the food to be prepared. It's a large restaurant without the proper amount of wait staff to assist. A tall waiter ignored my request for the bill and had to be reminded.

The capresse was flavorful and of good quality. The pizza was flavorful and enjoyable.

Service is two stars. Food is four stars. We meet in the middle at three. Service is important and hadn't the waiter been pleasant when he paid attention fewer stars...
