It was one of the most upsetting experience with restaurants in my life and I wouldn’t recommend to go at this place ever. We ordered a cocktail and an expensive cognac in the cafe at the evening, because it’s in the center location and kind of ‘romantic’ view. The moment we got our drinks we also asked for coffee and the waiter said they don’t make coffee after 7 pm (we were there around 10 pm). We paid and gave him tips. After that we saw that another guy got a cup of coffee. Asked another waiter if we can have a cup of coffee? he said “no, sorry, we don’t make coffee anymore”. But we just saw the guy with a coffee? yes, but he ordered FOOD in our restaurant. So IF your order food you can get a coffee. I mentioned that it is ridiculous because we just ordered other drinks, and he said that it is the policy of the place and not his idea and went away. We were super tired and upset to looking for the manager or whatsoever, but I find that a very not nice way to speak (and LIE) to your clients. Who already spent 20€, we didn’t just want to seat there with a cheap coffee. In addition, the only atmosphere we got there...

11:00 I ask the waiter for a place for 1, After confirming that I would like to eat, cafe is about 40% full, he insists that I sit on a small table as I was on my own, even though I wanted a place further away from people. I sit and pleasantly enjoy the croissants being served around me 11:10 waiter comes and asks if I would like a Menu? I said, no I would like to have a Cafe au lait & a croissant 🥐 please. Oh No sorry sir you are in the dining area, can you please move 3 tables left where you can order your croissant? So I move... 11:20 Waiter comes and asks what I would like, I repeated my order. Oh no sorry sir! we don't serve croissant any more, croissant is for breakfast.... fine, give me. cafe au lait please, sure. 11:30 coffee arrives and I'm asked to pay immediately (even though people around me are paying as they leave)
I tasted the coffee, burnt milk, burnt coffee, absolutely disgusting service, even more disgusting product, and I ended up finding a much better croissant and coffee elsewhere, which was 2pm by then, I guess 2pm breakfast is ok...
Read moreIt lays very central and was one of the better looking cafe’s in the area, other than the other reviews I thought that the staff was friendly but you have to remember that they are French and they are busy! They do not have time to talk to you for 10 minutes about your day and they will get to the point like what you want to order, understandable!! There were multiple homeless people harassing people at their tables (including us) and the staff noticed immediately and send them away protecting us tourists! (The homeless people are very normal in France so it was not targeted for that cafe specifically) there was also another junkie couple that stole a stand with olive oil, vinegar and seasoning from the table and our waiter chased him down and got it back! Another great feature of this restaurant is that a lot of singers or preformers stand in front of the cafe so you often will have life music with your food! Our food came within 15 minutes of placing our order and was really delicious! The bathrooms are not really that hygienic but it was still ok. Will...
