We were looking forward to this restaurant as we'd heard so many good things about it. We weren't expecting to get a table as we hadn't booked, but were lucky. We were shown to our table, waited over 10 minutes then noticed that two tables which had arrived after us had been given menus and had had their drinks orders taken while we had so far been ignored, even though at that point the restaurant wasn't full. So we asked for menus and a somewhat unenthusiastic young girl brought them to us. From then on the service was at a comfortable pace. The other two people serving (a man and a woman) were much more friendly and greatly improved our experience of the restaurant. The amuse-bouche was ok, the starters and main courses good, and the dessert (fig tart) was divine! The portions look small but were actually perfect. Overall the price was reasonable and the ambiance lovely. We'll probably go back but hope to get better...

Then we both had the duck Parmentier with rosemary - so rich - so great. We added savoy cabbage that added a balance of textures and rich flavours.
To finish - Pana Cotta with chestnuts, and a cute Île Flottant with Praline and rose water.
Add, a bunch of flowers too - now that is service. Definitely going to...

3 hours for three courses. We waited forever between the courses. I'm sitting here, presently staring at a wine bottle that has sat empty for 45 minutes without being asked if we wanted anything else. We've been finished our meal for 30 minutes, staring at our dessert plates, and I finally sent my partner in to pay because this is one of the most boring food experiences I have ever had in France. The food was fine. My egg was overcooked in my entrée and my tuna was not seasoned at all. The dessert was lovely, kudos to the pastry chef.
I don't know if this was just a really bad night, or if someone from back of house or front of house were ill, but this...
