L'Esclafidou 'La Table du Cap' — Restaurant in Nîmes

We sought out La Table Du Cap from a friend's recommendation. We arrived to be greeted with a warm smile and a simple greeting of "Bonsoir". We were quickly seated in the beautiful outdoors of Place des Esclafidous & were offered water as we were seated. There was an al a carte offering or formula de jour but we asked for a single main from the FDJ and was pleased to find that possible. The Salmon was "magnifique" and we followed that with dessert & a cheeky limoncello. The service was as good as we've had on any of the 6 continents we've been. Tucked into a glorious little "Place" with a fabulous canopy of trees, it's hard to find a single improvement I could suggest. Btw, that was Monday night, I'm writing this tonight, Tuesday at our table. I'm sad they are closed tomorrow night but happy to have had two fabulous meals while...

We were recently pssing by Nimes, and on our one night there we luckily found this sweet and cozy restaurant. It is mainly traditional french cuisine, made by an amazing and extremely accomodating chef and waiters. Everyone enjoied their food very much and, to my surprise, they were able to serve a whole vegan meal for one of the members of our group!! And it was extremely yummy! We even got some reccomendations on a good evening walk around the beautiful city. We very much reccomend this place and send them all our love and wish them...

Alors là, les mots me manquent, et suis presque incapable de vous décrire ce beau voyage gustatif que nous avons fait, au travers les différents mets ! Whaoooo ! De prima-bord, un lieu simple, aux airs presque touristiques..., puis une fois assis et servis, aucune, je dis bien aucune fausse note, de la prise de commande au au-revoir !! Vos papilles s'enchantent depuis le début avec des notes sublimes en arrière palais puis elles font un feu d'artifice dans votre gorge avec la suite. Ici, tout est senteur, parfum, goûts extravagants et ivresse des sens. Le tout dans une ambiance humble, amicale et joviale, loin des établissements pompeux, moins bons et très chers ! Notre serveuse a été tout simplement et humainement formidable ! Merci ! C'est plutôt rare de trouver un personnel si passionné et allègre ! Je ne vous en dit pas plus : ALLEZ Y ! Les yeux fermés ! Un dernier mot : laisser vous guider par leurs conseils, vous en serez plus qu'enchantés ! Ciao ;-) Remarque : ici, on vous change les couverts entre l'entrée et le plat ! Lol...
