Omg believe the bad reviews! We ignored them due to the inexplicable queue of French people out the door at our own peril. Crazy confusing system. I was told I couldn’t sit at the table and had to order first. Then queued for ages in the takeaway queue before realising there was a separate queue to order for service at the tables. We should have left but by that stage felt we were committed. And then when I finally got to the front of that queue 20 mins later i was told the tables were full and was dismissively waved away by the mean lady at the counter. A few mins later my sister had managed to get a table so went to order (in French, so was making a reasonable effort) and the lady was still super rude. The pastries and 2 coffees we ordered took 15 mins to arrive at our table. Baguette was fine, albeit had a really bad taste in my mouth by that point. Croissant average, have frankly had better in London, and the frangipane twist thing was awful and dry. All in all, a horrendous start to the day and a waste of an hour in beautiful Uzes on a Saturday.

Are you even experiencing Uzès properly if you don't go to the boulangerie Nougatine every morning? 😆 I love their bread and pastries, I really enjoy their morning breakfast you can take in the "salle the thé" especially in the winter or with kids. The service has always been great to me, definitely more in low season than when they are very busy in the summer.

Was a.) betrifft, so steht meines Erachtens die Qualität der Produkte außer Frage.

My husband and I had a delicious lunch at La Nougatine. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious (vegetarian sandwich, tomato focaccia, vanilla flan and chocolate + raspberry macarons). We also liked the espresso + café crème. There’s a large air conditioned dining area, outdoor seating (chose indoor seating because of the cigarette smoke on the terrace), and a nice, large bathroom. We highly...
