Papa Joe

We had a great time here. The food was excellent ( we had steaks rare), but we are used to high quality food so that's not what was impressive to us. I'm actually rating the service. We come from a part of Austria which lives from tourism, so we know all there is to know about it. Their service was better. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and going out of their way to be helpful. We don't speak French so the only waiter who spoke English basically translated the menu to us, made recommendations and kept checking on us all the time. Absolutely amazing place to eat burgers! One of the best steakhouse I've attended to. You can have Black Angus meat in their burgers for a relatively fair price, and burger receipts are devine. Fries are good but can be improved. Desserts are great too. They also offer a good selection of drinks, cocktails and wines. Eh bien... je m’attendais à pire.

J’ai mes petites adresses favorites bien sûr, en ce qui concerne les burgers, je ne le répéterai jamais assez mais The Burger Factory est un incontournable du burger à Nancy/Vandoeuvre, dont le tarif est deux fois inférieur à ceux de Papa Joe.

Mais... ce sont deux restaurants distincts. Papa Joe mise aussi sur son ambiance tamisée, fort agréable je trouve, les sièges par exemple, confortables, les tables rondes spacieuses...

Le personnel est aussi assez agréable. (souriant, avenant, on n’en demande pas plus)

Le burger était correct. Le pain peut-être un peu « compact » mais finalement assez moelleux. L’assemblage correct également, même si ils gagneraient à travailler l’aspect. Au final, une dégustation très correcte, un très bon point pour le steak, de bonne qualité, bien saignant comme demandé.

Bonne surprise aussi pour les frites, je ne sais pas comment elle fussent auparavant, étant donné certains commentaires. Je sais ce que sont des frites avec des pommes de terre du jardin faites maison, mais là c’est très correct pour un resto de cet acabit.

Les conditions de réception étaient évidemment correctes à l’heure où nous sommes arrivés, du monde mais deux tables de libre, où nous avons patienté quelques 20 minutes avant prise en charge.

Rien de très surprenant pour un samedi soir.

En bref un steakhouse très acceptable.
