Berlin - Mediterranean Kitchen — Restaurant in Nice

Wow! I could eat Italian food all day, every day, but my wife just can’t do it. I went looking for something different online and stumbled upon this restaurant. My wife is a vegetarian and I will say if you are as well, just a heads up - they don’t have falafel. They don’t advertise that they do…it was my assumption.

We almost left when we got there because she “needed protein” but after smelling the food and seeing what was coming out, I told her that I was staying. She decided she would ultimately stay as well as they do offer a veggie pita!

This guy was in there solo and working incredibly hard. We got there right on time because it started getting packed by 730/8. His work ethic alone was amazing to watch but then I tasted the food and I was even more impressed. Absolutely phenomenal. One of the best pitas I have ever had. Almost a little doughy still and it melted in my mouth. Chicken was cut into small chunks making it easy to eat and the sauce was incredible.

I got the fries that everyone raved about. Personally, not my favorite in the world. Mainly because they’re definitely very fresh and I’m gross and would have preferred them maybe a bit crispier and saltier. That’s my own issue. They were still delicious and I ate all of them.

I got the chicken pita by the way, but everyone else’s bowls coming to their tables looked delicious as well. My wife’s veggie pita was loaded with zucchini that was perfectly seasoned.

If you’re craving Mediterranean, you can’t go wrong...

We were looking for something special to eat and came across this wonderful little establishment. It’s got an extremely simple menu but it’s a great value. The food was so delicious, fresh and prepared daily. The bread is made daily, multiple times a day fresh to order, the balance of the flavors were just perfect. The fries as well were perfection. If you are in a hurry, it may not be the place for you. We happily placed our order, took a seat outside at one of the many tables and just relaxed and the owner brings out your food perfectly cooked because he takes his time to prepare everything and you can taste it. I would eat there every night if it was up to me but the wife wants to try different foods on this trip, but I’m gonna try to talk her into one...

Amazing food and such a kind, lovely owner. I came pretty close to closing time and he told me not to worry about it and let me stay and eat in.

Which is good, because I needed to do justice to the terrific sandwich and fries. I had the Klassike, and the chicken was super tender and delicious, the bread soft and pillowy and the hummus grainy and nutty. The fries were also good, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The meal was super filling (I couldn’t finish!).

The Klassike is €7.50. I was going to get fries at €2.50, and then he recommended just taking the menu, which was also €2.50 and included fries plus a drink, which is great value.

Highly recommend for a quick, easy and tasty lunch. And thank you to the owner for being so delightful...
