HACIENDA BAR Y COCINA — Restaurant in Nice

My husband and I decided to try out this tapas place during our one week stay in Nice based on some good reviews. We had already had some not great dining experiences in Nice (waiters ignoring us, drinks coming way after the food is served, appetizers served after entrees, etc - typical problems you see in countries without a strong tipping culture) so we were hopeful for something better. Turns out this place was AMAZING, even by our high NYC standards! We ordered six different small dishes (guac, steak, empanadas, chorizo, tortilla, fried rice) and each one was delicious. The service was great. We got to know our lovely server Doris and it turns out she was the owner of the restaurant. She even gave us a tour of the inside and the cool speakeasy bar downstairs (closed during summers). I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place - one of our BEST MEALS IN NICE!! All the top...

the food and service was perfection... we enjoyed many things on the menu -- everything was exceptional; the service was so good that I texted 2 different friends during my meal to tell them about the awesome experience. I highly recommend everything - but especially the Argentinian steak and also the ceviche Daurade --- my wife who is vegetarian had several great tapas, and the "elote" the grilled corn was exceptional. While exploring Nice, I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and I couldn’t be more delighted! The atmosphere is absolutely captivating, with beautifully curated decor that sets the perfect mood. The food? Simply outstanding! I savored the entrecôte with chimichurri and a delightful cauliflower dish—both were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff truly elevate the experience; Rudy, the bartender, deserves a special shoutout for his warm hospitality and exceptional service.
