36ème Chambre is a hidden gem in the heart of Nice, offering a perfect mix of creativity, comfort, and culinary finesse. We stopped in for a light meal and were genuinely impressed by both the atmosphere and the food.

The interior strikes a great balance between modern and intimate—dim lighting, eclectic decor, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe that immediately makes you want to stay longer. It feels like a place where locals go to unwind, not just another tourist spot.

The menu is compact but thoughtful. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor, prepared with clear attention to quality and detail. While our main focus was the ambiance and a couple of matcha, the small plates and ingredients spoke for themselves—seasonal, simple, and well-executed.

Had to wait 1 hour for a table of 4 which was fine of course. Had no reservations. We sat down and waiting. Got to order after about 30 mins. We wanted fluffy pancakes, but he said they were too busy to make them. So we order some other stuff. Ignored my wife’s order. Everyone got their food in 45 mins except mine. I got the Gotham. Once I got my food, I had to go up and ask for my drink and the cheese cake that came with my order since no one else as going to give it to me.

All while this was happening. People came in and ordered fluffy pancakes and got them. And the restaurant was still busy.

As for my food. Overpriced. Gothom cost 24$. Sandwich stack with lettuce. I got literal the 5 smallest season potatoes. The cheese cake was great. Ice tea...

Everyone who visits Nice, should come and experience this amazing/beautiful/exceptional cafe restaurant. The food is always exceptional.

I live in the south of France for many years, and I consider 36eme Chambre one of my most favorite cafe/restaurants in Nice.
