La Dolce Vita Plage — Restaurant in Nice

It was our first time in la Dolce Vita beach. The restaurant is nice. The setting is very nice too. However, when we booked the beach we were told we would be front line. When we arrived they put us in the third line although many beds on the first line were empty and stayed empty the whole day. At some point we asked to move. We were told some people would turn up. In the meanwhile, to watch the kids we just sat on the side of 2 sun beds on the front line. We even ordered a bottle of wine and the guy brought it to us. After a while, out of nowhere came out a waitress who didn’t ask politely to go back to our beds. She was super agressive and asked us whether we asked for permission to sit where we were and who allowed us. We replied it was obvious as we were served our drinks. She replied j replied I did not appreciate her tone she got men me I should stop drinking as I was drunk (it was my first glass) and saying she would call her manager. Her manager eventually came and when we told her the story she apologised on her behalf. But didn’t offer any commercial gesture after her waitress treated us worst than dogs when we spent more than 500 euros for the whole day. So all in all, I would not...

Would not recommend and would not return! Seemed chaotic and it wasn't even full. Staff always had to ask someone else when we had a request. No-one came around beds to check if any drinks are needed - in fact we had to repeatedly go to the bar and try to find someone who knew we had booked beds so we could order drinks and have it added to the running bill. Music is personal taste but high volume punk/thrash was not what we expected mid-afternoon and it was clearly irritating customers near us. Tried to order lunch but found the kitchen had just closed (unfortunately there are no times on the food menu). Facilities however are very good - clean toilets and beds and changing cabins. Just the staff...

En effet, payer cher pour avoir de la qualité et un cadre sympathique ne me pose aucun soucis. A la Dolce Vita malheureusement le contrat n'est pas entièrement rempli.

Le cadre est superbe. Le service beaucoup moins.

Des serveurs au ralenti, peu aimables et pour certains parlant peu ou pas français....il faut attendre longtemps avant que la commande soit prise, mais surtout trèèèès longtemps pour avoir le deuxième plat (après avoir demandé par deux fois au personnel de ne pas nous oublier)...si ce n'était que ça, car c'est à partir de ce moment que cela se gâte vraiment.

Sur les 4 plats commandés, deux sont immangeables :

Un cheesburger qui arrive en partie froid, le fromage à l'intérieur n'a même pas été chauffé (il est réellement froid au touché) et à sûrement été mis en place directement à la sortie du frigo sur la viande à peine chaude ….il n'était même pas fondu. Obligé de le faire retourner en cuisine ….il revient chaud cette fois, avec le fromage fondu ayant une texture de vieux chewing gum accompagné de frites pas assez cuites.

Pire encore, le steak pour mon fils (24 euros tout de même !) : il arrive froid, pas cuit et à une couleur suspecte et dixit mon fils « avec un goût de poisson pourri »....il retourne en cuisine...un nouveau plat arrive, la viande à une meilleure couleur....mais ce n'est cuit qu'en superficie et froid à l'intérieur...immangeable.... le pire est que sur l'addition on a essayé de nous le compter deux fois !!!

Tout ça dans l'indifférence des serveurs amorphes, sans aucune excuses....même pas un limoncello offert pour se faire pardonner....bref...une belle déception, surtout que ce repas était prévu pour fêter des anniversaires....ça à « refroidi » l'ambiance...

Etant de Menton, j'avais pourtant entendu grand bien de cet établissement et certains plats étaient bons....mais les deux cas cités ci-dessus sont représentatifs d'un manque de professionnalisme certain et ce qui est sur est que je n'y remettrai jamais les pieds et tout ça juste avant le début de la...
