My best tips for this day trip from Nice ⤵️ 📌Èze Village This medieval village is set 400 meters above the sea on top of a rocky hill. Characterized by a maze of charming narrow streets with stone walls and beautiful flowers, it’s an idyllic place for exploring, eating, and shopping with incredible views of the coast. ⏰ Time spent: ~6 hours (including transport) 🚌 How I got there: from my location near the Port of Nice, the 82 bus takes you right up to the village for €1.70. Alternatively, you can take the 602 for €2.10. The bus ride is roughly 40 minutes, and if you sit on the right side you’ll get some lovely coastal views along the way. 📝 Things to do? 🌵 Visit the Exotic Garden. There are loads of beautiful plants (watch out for the cacti) and the best views can be seen from here. Entry= €7. ⛪️ Pop into Èze Church (the yellow one set right behind the gardens!) 🍽️ Grab a table outside at La Taverne d’Antan à Èze - it’s a cute restaurant on a picturesque narrow street. 🛍️ Shop, wander, eat gelato, and take loads of photos. 🏖️ Hike Nietzsche Path down to Èze Beach if you want to go for a swim - you can grab a bus or a train back to Nice from here. . . . . . #explorenicecotedazur #cotedazur #frenchriviera #ezevillage #eze #villages

I had a deeply upsetting experience here with my mum, husband, and three children. We were waiting patiently for a table while several were clearly available. Shockingly, other guests who arrived after us were seated without hesitation — including a couple who pushed past and were accommodated immediately. When I politely questioned this, I was met with rude, dismissive, and aggressive behaviour from two staff members (ladies). They shouted at me, which left me in tears in front of my children. My 6-year-old was hungry, my elderly mother was struggling to stand, yet we were treated with complete disregard and no empathy whatsoever. It felt like we were being discriminated against — we were visibly ignored, spoken down to, and made to feel unwelcome. This is not just poor customer service, it’s unacceptable on every level. I will never return and strongly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant. A truly shameful experience.

I will never come back to this place or recommend anyone to do so. I was discriminated against at multiple levels. A couple got there after two parties, second being me. The guy was pushing hard to be sit and the place was busy. He stand in front of all of us and the waiter proceeded backing him up. There were three tables, one for the bigger party and other two, one for the couple (French) and one for me. The guy rudely rushed to the shaded table (I mean no manners)and the only other table was on the sun. The waiter (Italian) told me I had to sit there if not I had to wait for another table. Never mind that who should had to wait for another table should had being them, I was there first . I couldn’t believe what had happened. Her tone and her rudeness left me speechless. The environment and personnel in this establishment are embarrassing. Meet the waiter. Disgrace of a human being.

My rating is not for the food, drink or location itself, but for the waiter who greet us on to the terrace. Me and my wife went in the evening of August 21, 2019, at 10:10 pm, to drink a beer in this place because it was open until 11:00 pm. The waiter saw us looking for a table and told us it was closed. All the other tables were full, even those of 10 and 6 people, they were still taking orders, starters and second dishes at that time. He eventually said, after we asked him nice, that we can sit only for two beers, but so, without being able to order food. All the others clients were still ordering food. After passing a few times near us, he finally asked us, from a distance of a few tables of us what beer we want and force me almost to scream when asking what beer they have. They had 2 bottle brands available, but not lager. I asked if they have a lager draft. The waiter told us very unfriendly that draft beer is unavailable because it's finished, in conditions where everyone at tables drinks wine or other drinks. He turned his back on us and left. He was unfriendly and a little uneducated, maybe because we were foreign tourists and we didn't speak french. We left without drinking anything. I drove all day long, drinking water, I really wanted to drink a cold lager beer in the evening. Disapointing. Hope you'll have better experinces overthere, if you...

As a roman, this was the worst carbonara I've ever seen, let alone eaten.

The "guanciale", IF it was guanciale, was cut like bacon, which is already a crime against all of italy, and the pasta wasn't dried out properly before being thrown into my plate, which resulted in a carbonara broth sitting at the bottom of my plate, in short something I hope to never see again.

This was bad already, put on top the fact that it was 16 euros JUST THE CARBONARA and you can imagine my disgust. I understand tourists prices, but come on at least serve decent food.

My girlfriend got an "aglio e olio" which is like the most basic pasta one can learn to cook (carbonara is very easy to prepare as well, that's why I can't fathom what they served me) and it somehow tasted like fish, it was even worse than my carbonara and it must be some type of achievement by itself.

Beautiful town and nice location tho, the staff was friendly and partially Italian speaking too, that's why it...
