Le Cénac is an absolute gem in Nice, delivering the kind of exquisite French dining experience you dream of when visiting France. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the evening. The ambiance strikes a fine balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and relaxed meals. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was a masterpiece, and bursting with authentic flavours. From the starters to the desserts, each bite showcased the quality of ingredients and the skill of the chef. The attention to detail was evident, and the traditional French dishes had a delightful modern twist that made them feel fresh yet classic. The service was also top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, Le Cénac set the bar high for French cuisine. It’s the kind of place where you savor every bite and leave with a happy heart and a full belly. If you're looking for an authentic and memorable meal in Nice, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

A local woman on the tram recommended this place for local, authentic cuisine and it delivered in all the best ways. I was the only non French speaking patron. I've tried escargot before and didn't care for it. Guess you have to eat it in the French Riviera! Meaty and flavorful, so glad I gave it another shot. The Salade de Chèvre Caud was a revelation in restraint and perfect balance of flavors and textures. So fresh and the cheese was melty and warm with its rind on seeming more like a brie. With roasted walnuts and generous, paper thin slices of ham and with the toasted slices of baguette and ultra fresh veggies I fell on it as if I'd never had a decent meal in my life. Highly recommended

Solid 4/5 for the food. Great servers! They let us move to the inside dining room because I was sensitive to the tobacco smell. Their hours are open all day for drinks but dinner service doesn’t start until 6pm/6:30pm. I don’t know when is lunch service. We came early at 5pm and waited since I really wanted to try the duck confit! There is an English menu (big cute chalkboard). Octopus salad was good. Duck confit: the duck was so yummy and soft but too much oil on the potatoes for me. Delicious crispy duck skin. The escargots were a bit too salty for us. Overall a pleasant experience. They take cash/credit cards. There are bathrooms available in the inside dining area.

We went there as the review was good, however, we were disappointed by the food. We ordered, among other things, two hamburgers, one medium and one rare. The medium one was medium, but the rare one was not just well-done but over cooked and burnt, and the patty was so thin. Looked like it was recycled and cooked twice or something. We asked them about it, and then they said that they mistook the medium one and the rare one. But the medium was medium, and not rare. Because it was just so over cooked we asked them if they can redo it, and they were not at all ready to take this normal request, although they said they would - in a rather disagreeable manner. Because we were hungry and my company did not want to waste food, we just took the food as they were in the end. Their manner was not professional, and food mediocre or rather bad. The hamburger tasted so much mayo rather than anything else. Certainly not...
