Prima Volta — Restaurant in Nice

Fantastic pizze! Each one we tried was a successful and inventive twist on the classic pizza. The dough is simply fantastic, soft and chewy with the right amount of chat. Normally we avoid eating at the same place more than once since we like to try new places but Prima Volta was the exception. We returned here for our final evening in Nice. I strongly suggest trying the Mortacci Tua pizza and the Al Nostro Modo (Dolce Pizza Dessert). A big part of our great experience was caused by our friendly and accommodating server, Laura! She was quick and did everything with a genuine smile. We felt very welcome at Prima Volta because of her. She was also very helpful with suggestions when we weren't sure what to pick. First, Maxime is the kindness server in Nice! He can make you laugh, is authentic, and always checks in on your needs. Whether it’s drinks, pizza, or dessert and coffee, he was there to serve us. He was prompt, and super helpful in getting us a table on a very busy Sunday night! He also has a delightful smile.

Next, the pizza. 10 stars. We have tried pizza around the world, but this one tops the list. The dough, light and tasty. The sauce, marvelous. The veggies, fresh and delicious.

Also, super fair price for the pizzas and the wines were perfect!

This place is not to be missed! And don’t forget to say hi to Maxime, he will surely bring a smile...

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We understand that not making a reservation was our mistake, but we believe the staff could have handled it more politely and simply asked us to leave instead of seating us right next to the food counter. The waitresses kept bumping into us, which was quite uncomfortable. We also felt we were not treated kindly, and the staff, including the owner, seemed indifferent and unfriendly.
