Wandering around Nice a few months ago, my husband and I were on the look out for a place we could both have a glass of wine and buy some bottles to take home. We say this place on Google Maps and noticed that it was also a cheese shop and a game shop?? Of course, we had to stop in. It was early, so we were the only people there, which meant the owner had plenty of time to talk to us. What a delightful human! He explained that his favorite things are drinking wine, eating cheese, and playing games with his friends, which is why he opened the shop. Those are our favorite things too so we got along famously. We picked out a meat and cheese plate, ordered some glasses, and perused the games. In addition to having many for purchase, there are 100 or so that you can play while you sit. He kindly recommended one that would be on the shorter side and even explained the rules to us (it was a French game). He also recommended some bottles for purchase as we wanted to take some home. It is exclusively natural wine, which isn't for everyone, but the owner is very good at recommending more accessible bottles/glasses. His English is excellent as well. This is hands down one of the best places to buy the perfect wine and cheese/charcuterie and equip yourself with a cool board game to play with friends on your next soirée.
