Mets and Café — Restaurant in Nice

Had drinks in here yesterday, wanted food but it was finished. It was beautiful and clean, the manager was so welcoming. We decided to go back today, so glad we did it was amazing. As soon as the manager saw us he came over and shook our hands, I was thrilled. What a lovely man and a brilliant cook he is. I am so fussy and never eat everything, but hey there's always a first 🥇 our meal was so tasty, I can honestly say it's the best I've had. Très bien!!! I went for dinner, an hour before closing time on a week day. Some people stoping by for a café or just to say hi to the proprietor. I seemed to be the only one eating, but I felt very welcome. I tried a dish of the day, braised pork with noodles, and also had tiramisu for dessert. All delicious. I went back for breakfast another day. I also found the food to be delicious and staff to be very friendly - they all seemed to know some English too. The one I presume is the proprietor even recognized me at breakfast and greeted me.

When you walk in here be prepared for ‘the French dining experience’ and at a great price. I walked in and was greeted with a warm “Bonjour Madame”. I was in before dinner time, and asked to eat, the owner began to explain they are not serving at this time. I then requested a Niçoise salad and his whole demeanour was instead filled with enthusiasm. He lead me to a table, pulled the chair for me, laid utensils out along with bread.
