I stopped by because it was close to my hotel, and Vietnamese food is usually a safe and enjoyable choice. I ordered summer rolls and pho, and made a point—multiple times and even with a photo—to clarify that I wanted fresh summer rolls, not fried spring rolls, as fried food doesn’t sit well with me.
Unfortunately, the waitress still brought out spring rolls. I explained the mix-up and politely declined to eat them. Despite not touching the dish, it was still included in the bill. When I went to pay, she asked me to come to the bar—away from the other customers—to settle the bill, which felt unnecessarily awkward.
When I pointed out the charge for the incorrect rolls, she refused to remove it. I let it go to avoid a scene. But when she told me it was cash only, despite a visible card machine, and I mentioned I only had a card, she sighed, looked irritated, and reluctantly brought over the machine.

I would not recommend this neighborhood Asian restaurant in Cap d'Ail, but if you do go, stick with the more authentic dishes, such as the bean thread vermicelli with tofu or seafood. The Chinese dish we had was of poor quality & taste, and the portion of food are very small. Our fish in 'spicy basil' was ruined (by freezing?) and normally would be sent back. The prices were reasonable but the portions were small. The Cantonese fried rice needed something more..... suck a small portion again....
The fried Vietnamese spring rolls were small and the only vegetable to wrap them up in was the lettuce and basil.... again I am used to getting a huge plate of veggies at Golden Deli or Vietnam House in Alhambra.
