L'Archipel — Restaurant in Nogent-sur-Marne

I called early afternoon to request a reservation in advance for Friday evening. I am glad I did because all tables were full by 20:30. The seating is cozy with room for only 22 in total. Three 4 seat tables and five 2 seat tables. This is a small family business with only the husband and wife both taking orders and preparing the food. We ordered the Arroz de Marisco and Chef's Octopus both of which were fantastic, honestly some of the best Octopus I have ever had and I just returned from Spain and Portugal. For desserts, we have the vanilla coconut delight and ruby papaya and candied guava with goat cheese. These were also delicious. I am so happy that I found this wonderful restaurant by reading Google reviews of great local restaurants near our Airbnb. I translated the menu to English using Google Translate which are included in this review so others considering this establishment can see what is offered. Everything about this restaurant reminds me like I'm eating at home. Run by a very welcoming couple, every bite reminds me of a holiday atmosphere, the sea, the archipelago. You could taste the seafood fritters, then follow with the shrimp rice or the Cape Verdean squid. Accueillis chaleureusement par le couple de gérants, nous avons très bien mangé de l'apéritif au dessert . Les plats sont copieux, savoureux et originaux.

Mention spéciale également aux rhums servis en apéritif, qui sentent vraiment le rhum!!
