After carefully considration based on reviewsfor a restaurant near our hotel, we decided you give this quaint Bistro shot. We called ahead for a reservation and arrived on time. We were promptly seated at our table. We were first impressed by the wine selection of small independent winemakers and through the evening selected several of them by the glass - all of them were exceptional. Started out dinner with Vitello Tonato and house terrine "Jean-Phi". They brought out a huge jar of "cornichon" tobgo with the terrine. Terrine was tasteful and seasoned to perfection. I suspect Vitello Tonato was as good- my wife hate it all without offering a bite! Followed up with Butcher Cut with blue cheese sauce and fries, and Boudin with mashed potatoes. Everything was perfect - from food to service, including wine selection and "Old Fashioned" to finish out this incredible dinner. Professional and friendly service. This place deserves all the great critics. Don't skip this small bistro - you will not be...
Read moreLovely find while wandering the streets. A small intimate Restauant with a large terrace (covered). The theme is classically French with a mix of meat plaques and avant garde art pieces. The food was delightful. The plats de jours was all we required but there was an a la carte available with the usual fare.
A homemade burger with chips with Greek sauce and a duo of fish (cod and lotte) on risotto was the daily choice and was very good. The risotto was just right in consistency and the cream sauce very tasty.
It was all washed down with a menetou-salon that was perfect in its ambient state.
The desserts, a chocolate moose and a pear tart were disappointing and imho not homemade which was disappointing given the clear skill in the cuisine.
The staff were great. They were busy but not rushed and took time to chat and explain a little about the Restauant and it’s place in Orleans.
I got the impression it’s a husband and wife tan running the restaurant and I would definitely...
