La Chancellerie — Restaurant in Orléans

This restaurant was recommended by my hotel and I must say it was not a good recommendation. The food was all mediocre. It’s in a nice area where the statue of Joan of ark is but other than that that’s about the extent of it. I had the 29.90€ two course dinner which was very small portions. The best thing I had was Barata cheese. The sea bream was as small as it can get and not very tasty. The snails were good. The meat dish was small and tough indoor outdoor seating. This restaurant is terrible, they treat the staff horribly, notably their interns (vulgar and degrading remarks for no reason, they didn't know I understood French). On the way to the bathroom (has no sink to wash your hands by the way) one of the waiters opened the kitchen door, and I saw other waiters eating food from the plates reserved for the customers (even the manger dressed in white). At the en of my service, one of the waiters told me that it isn't really clean either. I wanted to vomit!!

This restaurant is a big no for me, would not recommend, I repeat do not go there it's beautiful but Gordon RAMSAY needs to visit...

The restaurant looked really nice but the food was cold when it was served. We got our ‘new’ warm food after we mentioned this, but we noticed they just warmed up our steak and scallops, which resulted in a steak with one bite off, overcooked scallops and very brown fries on our plates. The waiter asked for our opinion, apologized and told us it was because of the rain. We had to pay the full bill without any discounts, so expect no service of this restaurant.
