A few years make a huge difference !! Or experience now gives AubBureau all 5 stars. We did have one night where a lack of servers made service slow, but the server did a great job. It helped that all the servers work together like a team. Every dish we have had has been good. I even got a steak that didn’t bleed all over my plate. We will return here several times on this visit. I assume this will appear as a new review. I leave the original to show the difference.
I would give 5 stars except for the servers. They kept bringing orders to our table that weren’t ours! The waitress/hostess/greeter could not have been better! She was the only waitress we saw in the entire restaurant, and she also greeted and seated people. She was very attentive even with doing double or triple duty. The “server” brought me the wrong drink. The waitress took it and gave me what I ordered (Jack Daniels NOT Johnny Walker). The four of us each had different dishes. Everyone liked what they had. I find the service quite poor, since when four of us came to have dinner and drinks, we were told that some of the food could be served inside the restaurant but not outside where we wanted to sit. When we decided to sit inside, we were directed to a small space that was too tight to feel comfortable. Then we moved to a non-occupied table for four, but a waiter afterwards instructed us that when we want to sit at the desired table, we need to get the permission of the waiter that was supposed to be serving us in the first place. But I ordered a lager which had clear off-flavours (I'm guessing was stale, oxidised or had something to do with insufficiently clean lines), and my friend ordered a Guinness which was one of the most comically bad pints I've seen in a very long time. Looked more like a milkshake than a pint of Guinness. Was presumably single poured.
