Restaurant Le Moana — Restaurant in Papeete

We went for my husband's birthday. It was great music, a beautiful setting. However, the waiters ruin the meal. We waited for our drinks for 45 minutes, then we waited for our food for 1 hour. We were brought the wrong food. We ordered more drinks and, after 30 minutes, still had no drinks. We both wanted water and never got water. We had 4 different people waiting on tables, they all came to the table at different times and we would say what we were waiting for, they would say okay, sorry and not come back to our table. We asked for a dessert menu as it was my husband's birthday. They would say okay and not return. After waiting for 45 minutes, I went in and asked for a bill and said to cancel our drinks. They comped 1 drink for us. I felt horrible because I wanted it to be a nice evening for my husband's birthday. Great atmosphere near the water with a beutiful view. However it was obvious our waiter did not want anything to do with us. Am not sure if it was because we are Americans or what but he intentionally avoided us for everything from placing the order to getting the check. His name was Sarano or Savoto not totally sure. It is not because he was having a bad day which i can understand but when i noticed him going to all his other tables 4-6 times checking on them and not once with us other than me having to waive him down as he passed us to go to the othe tables it was completely obvious without a a doubt he had a problem with us. We stopped by this place for a drink and snack during happy hour to enjoy the view on our last day in Tahiti before going to the airport. The place was empty. We asked to sit outside to have a nice view. Staff was insisting on us sitting at a table inside. We did, although we were not too happy about it. A few min later, the other two couples arrived, and they allowed them to sit where we asked. They did not have any reservations or anything. They asked, too.
