Great selection of fine, unique, and superb art from local French Polynesian artists, particularly from the Marquesan Islands. Outstanding indigenous art from tikis to animals to canoes and countless others in multiple media including local woods, shells, bone, mother of pearl. Speak of, there’s also an excellent pearl shop they run next door with a fantastic selection.

Laina and Tahia are incredibly quick to respond by phone or email with any and all questions you may have and will help you along the entire browsing, buying, and pick up or delivery experience. They are both knowledgeable about everything in their shop and are clearly passionate about the art and pearls. Their shop is a must see in your visit to Papeete. We saw the amazing Tiki Tattoo at the Four Seasons Bora Bora back in June of 2023. I have anted it ever since but could not make the purchase. We organised with the lovely owner and Laina that we would purchase the Tiki and collect when we were there in Feb of 2025. The quality of product, amazing service of Laina and the entire team and of course the pure joy of taking my exquisite Tiki, made this experience beyond 5 stars. I was very happy with my visit to the Manua Art as it was not just to browse current offerings, but also about learning more about the Polinesian Culture for different island groups. No doubt you can get a much better deal communicating directly with the artist, but that requires quite an effort.
