I’ve known 5 Pailles since their opening and have been there as a customer and also working as a barista.

As a customer, I’d like to share that the food is homemade, always fresh, tasty, and served with a smile, no matter how busy the place is.

🙂 Staff is always friendly and polite. 🙂 They will be happy to change an ingredient or find alternatives if you have food allergies, or find the best option if you are on a specific diet. 🙂Their plates are as honest as their prices. The brunch will make you happy. 🍪 Their cookies are the best I’ve tried to this day. My favorite is the black chocolate, hazelnut and fleur de sel. They sometimes offer vegetarian or vegan options for pastries! 🥘 My favorite dish is the half-shakshuka/half-popeye with a bacon 🥓 and avocado 🥑 supplement. ☕️ They chose their own green beans, which are roasted by a Parisian roaster. The filter coffee is my favorite. They offer milk alternatives: Oat milk (oatly) and soy milk.

💫As a barista, I have worked in several places that aren’t always respecting breaks or decent working conditions. I want to emphasize that 5 Pailles is one of the few coffee shops I’ve worked at, where they treat their employees with respect and consider them almost as family, even when working as extra. They are faire and honest. Working conditions are great, happy and the team shows respect whatever your age or experience.

❤️👏🏼You’ll understand I warmly recommend this place, for breakfast, lunch, brunch, snack or just for coffee! If you need to celebrate something, they even have rosé that you can sip on their nice terrace :) 📆 Reservations are recommended on weekends and/or if you want to come...

We found 5 Pailles as an online suggestion and it was only a 10 minute walk for the hotel. From when we arrived the greeting was friendly from the ladies outside on a chilly Sunday morning. We didn’t have to wait long for a tale for 2. For drinks we mostly had standard coffees but I did try (and enjoy) the golden latte which has turmeric and ginger in it amongst other spices.

The menus are online so could be worth deciding before you arrive (especially if you don’t have mobile signal). For food Laura had the Cilbir and I had the Sunny Side Up (fried eggs, pancakes, bacon and onion crumb), I also added some avocado. Both main dishes were very good and Laura commented how different hers was and a nice change. The pancakes in mine were light and fluffy and great fried eggs. We also had the cinnamon buns which were good (squidgy and spicy).

The service was excellent, friendly, attentive and well worth...

Amazing staff, very polite, kind and attentive! They try to provide you the best customer care they can even if it has been such a rough year and now, it is suddenly a rush! We do not have to forget that there have been months of inactivity and that they had to prepare themselves to serve us without actually serving us. But, sometimes, you cannot plan that so many people will show you such a huge amount of love by coming every day, from 9am to 3pm, to eat your insane meals 😁 So be kind with the staff, relax and wait!! The brunch will be 10000 times better 😉

Finally, of course, the food was amazing, tasty, generous and affordable! Maybe the best sweet pancakes I have ever tasted! Very spongy, not too sweet ! (And I tried those of HollyBelly, Immersion, Big Mamma, Clint...) The Shakshuka is definitely the star of the menu ! Very simple but so good to eat!

I’ll come back with my friends for sure! Thank you...

Adorable brunch place with outdoor seating. When we arrived, there was quite a line waiting, but the line moved very quickly and we probably sat within 5-10 minutes. By far the best cappuccino I’ve had in a long time. My husband also enjoyed his mocha, which is harder to come by in Europe we’ve found. He ordered the pancakes and I got the eggs Benedict, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The cinnamon roll unfortunately was a miss. Mostly a bread roll with a small portion of cinnamon on the top. I’d skip the cinnamon roll. They take cash or card. Really loved the vibe of this place and would come back if I was in Paris again!

Came here because we saw so many photos of the dish that looked like a cassoulet, but to our disappointment it had been removed off the new menu. I wanted to order the Cilbir but my nut allergy prevented me because they premix (or buy some part of this dish pre-made) so they couldn't omit the nuts for some reason. Ended up getting some pancakes that tasted like a box-mix and my partener ordered a benedict that was quite cold and tasteless. The coffee was the only good thing here, there's other spots to grab breakfast nearby that are surely better. They put all their effort into the decor and almost none in the food itself.
