As an Iranian, I was so excited to take my non iranian friend to a Iranian restaurant to try some of our food. Sadly I was really disappointed, the food was not authentic at all. There was not a wide variety of iranian dishes and the dishes that were there weren't tasty. The starters werent bad but there was no proper noon, just some cold bread in a plastic bag. The main courses were honestly pretty disappointing, the qorme sabzi was really sour, there were some random dishes that arent even typically Iranian foods, and the desserts were basic. The doogh was also really watery and lacked any taste. We ended up leaving most of the food and leaving early. To say something positive, the homemade halva is very good and we did enjoy that, that was the only authentic thing i could find and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and its a shame to say these things because the service was fine but honestly, in terms of food, there are so many better Iranian restaurants in Paris so if you are looking for authentic iranian food, i wouldn't...
Read moreI invited a friend to A Table. He was so delighted with the restaurant that he insisted we return with his wife. On a hot sunny day, we found a cool shaded table at the back with an open window onto a leafy green courtyard. The buffet is divided into three parts : Left side is the entrees, wonderful diversity and all savory. Further down are the desserts - custards of unusual and pleasing tastes, fresh fruit and fruit pastes. On the Right side on the main dishes, 4 vegetarian, 4 with chicken or veal or beef in tasty sauces accompanied by two types of rice - saffron and fines herbes. We ate everything and lots of it. Yet at the end we felt satisfied and light to continue on with our day. The food is homemade and fresh. If you are looking for tasty variety, something different, A Table takes you there. I highly recommend the food and...
Read moreA-Table has some rave reviews but I must voice a dissenting opinion. We visited for the lunch buffet, and found their selection wanting. There was no meat except for one chewy, flavorless dish. It is a vegetarian restaurant masquerading as one with a full range of options. Only a couple of the sauces were warm, and they were not among the higher quality Persian dishes I have tasted. With only those sauces and rice, you leave feeling more distended than satisfied. And despite the cost of 13.50 for the buffet, they charge 1.50 extra for every 100g you leave on your plate. That news was delivered with raised eyebrows and a snobbish, "Can you read?" indicating a sign I had not noticed. I have not experienced their dinners, but based on the lunch service, this spot is not worth your time...
