Hotel Terre Neuve is located in the 11th Arrondissement. The district is a bustling residential neighborhood featuring many ethnic restaurants as well as four nearby grocery stores (rooms have a refrigerator). It’s a 5 minute walk from the Alexandre Dumas metro stop (the Avron stop is a tad further away) on the number 2 line. The metro and two bus lines make it well connected to just about everything else in Paris. The hotel appears to be recently renovated and the spotless rooms come in three sizes. We chose the intermediate sized room which, while still small, is well thought out with all the amenities correctly placed. That said, you may get annoyed that the bathroom door hits the bed and the door to the relatively large shower stall hits the toilet. That shouldn’t be the case in the largest room size. The beds are comfortable though not the pillows. The air conditioning and WiFi are flawless. The reception is staffed at all times so late check-in is possible. There is no elevator so the only easily accessible rooms are on the ground floor, which I would not recommend due to noise. Rooms facing the away from the street are much quieter and the view is not substantially different than those facing the street. I’ve seen prepaid daily rates as low as 70 USD. We paid 78 USD for a cancellable rate which I consider a steal for a hotel of this caliber in Paris. Hotel Terre Neuve hits all the right notes at a remarkably low price. It’s well worth...
Read moreThe Terre Neuve hotel is surely the best compromise for Paris.||Just a step away from line 1 which crosses Paris and passes by all the major monuments. On foot we were able to visit the famous cemetery "Pere Lachaise" and then go to "Le Marais" in less than 25 minutes. We stayed in a ground floor room, with at least 4 meter high ceilings, the room was clean and the air conditioning was new (like the hotel). By night the street and the ||neighborhood is very quiet.||Finally and surely the best part; the staff was amazing, listening and caring for the slightest claim.||An unbeatable value for money that already gives us the desire to come back !||Thank you so much for your kindness !!||||Ps: Amazing "croissant" and "Pain au chocolat" at the...
Read moreThe hotel was located close to my conference venue, but it is really far away from the city centre. If you are expecting to enjoy Paris' atmosphere, this is not the right place to stay. It is well communicated by metro, that's right. But metro will take more than half an hour to reach the more touristic spots of the city. ||The hotel was recently renewed and both the room and the bathroom were spacious and well furnished. My room was just beside the checking point (beside as less than a meter of distance): a bit strange, really, and a bit noisy...
