Au rendez-vous des amis — Restaurant in Paris

This place is more of a bar than a restaurant. I arrived early and was asked if I wanted a hot drink as I waited for a friend and I order a tea. Then one of the other customers at the bar started vaping. The staff took no notice. To not cause a fuss because my French is simply not good enough, I decided to leave. The staff was surprised as I had barely touched my tea. I said I was pregnant and did not want to be around smoke. The staff and the smoking customer simply made a joke and laughed. Came here and do not recommend. The employees are so rude and inconsiderate to Americans. My French is poor but I try to speak and order — one guy is condescending with how he looks at you. They simply served, gave each other looks of me of disapproval, etc. It is easy to read body language and I’ve never felt like such an inconvenience for an establishment that I’m paying for.

Awful organization and service. Don’t tell that an order will be ready in 10 minutes when you’re asked before selling it and then take 40 to prepare it, without even saying sorry. I had a 40 Minutes break from work to order and eat, which means that today I’ll continue my day without having lunch.
