Easily the best pizza I have ever had. Went to Paris France on a study abroad trip and easily ate here 3 or 4 times in a week because I had to get everyone of my class mates to try it.
Dough was always cooked delectably with a delightful burnt crisp on the edges of the crust and a soft finish on the inside that is as close to perfect of the texture of a pizza can get. The Pizzas of the day were always superb, my favorite being a spicy pepperoni pizza with olive oil infused spinach if I recall. The inclusion of their signature spicy olive oil to drizzle atop of your pizza only adds a layer of silky, sweet and rich spiciness that I to this day dream of being able to use on every pizza I have ever had since.
The ambiance is like no other either, a true respect for american hip-hop plays as the music to the place (not being aggressively loud but audible enough to give it a very human and organic quality), which by the way the choices to play MF Doom and classic Kanye tracks deserves a gold star for quality /mu/ hip-hop standards. Along with the long white tables that almost makes meals with strangers next to you feel like family gatherings. I also like the location, being able to see the skate park across the canal and being among locals.
The owner was also super friendly and makes a majority of the pizzas there. If I return to France this will be my top...
Read moreWe decided to go to Bricktop based on the good online reviews, but we didn't expect to find one of the best pizzas we ever had (if not the best!). It's located in a lovely neighbourhood, has a fast service, and a cool minimalistic decoration, but the best thing of this restaurant is the pizza: amazing dough and high quality ingredients. In general, the prices are according the standards in Paris, but the #1 pizza (Margherita) is cheap. If the weather is good we recommend to order "to go" and eat it sitting by the canal located just in front of the restaurant.
The restaurant is not too big, and you will maybe have to share one of the big tables with other people. Also, the seats are not specially comfortable. On the other hand, they have their own beer, and you can order tap water for free (tastes exactly as bottle water).
We liked it so much that we ended up going to have dinner here two times during our visit in Paris! We highly...
Read moreAbsolute 10/10 pizzas and service. After eating mid food throughout the day we came to Bricktop on a whim and it did not disappoint. The servers managed to seat our group of 11 and everything was perfect, clean plates all round and very satisfied customers. Portion sizes were massive and great quality. Music and ambience also great, small restaurant so not overwhelming and can see the pizza oven from every seat. Definitely a highlight of our Paris trip, thank...
