Me and two friends stayed here during summer and I have been meaning to write a review. We stayed for three nights for the price of 50 pound each (so only £16 quid per night) and the location was right next to gare de l'est which was across the road, and gare de nord was a mere five mins walk away- practically the centre of paris! It was very easy to find as we got the train from CDG to gare de nord and headed north then turned left up past gare de l'est and there it was! The value for money was incredible as we even had our own private bathroom with little packaged soaps and was very clean! The staff were very friendly and had a good sense of humour. I really enjoyed my stay here, yes the lift does not work and yes the decor style may be antiquated but overall I encourage people to stay here as me and my friends could not believe how good it was in contrast to the price. There is wifi available in the reception area and they have loads of magazines so it is nice to sit there in the evening if people wanted to quickly check in with family. There is no wifi in the rooms but for the price I wasn't expecting it. There was a double bed, a single bed, a wardrobe to hang clothes, a tv and a bathroom. It was easy to find, there are reasonable supermarkets all around and nice places to eat- was perfect! Would definitely...

Wifi was non-existent in the room & still wasn't able to connect in the small lobby area ... so had to go over to Gare de l'est & buy some coffee in order to connect to the station wifi which was excellent, just inconvenient. Theres a number of bars/restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so issue there. Seemingly safe neighborhood but recommend being with a friend at nighttime. If I were to visit Paris I would consider staying here again despite the 'run-down' atmosphere ... money was the main issue for staying here & closeness to...
