Le Petit Carillon — Restaurant in Paris

Good place with a view of the canal and nice atmosphere. I had the vegetarian platter which was really inventive, different, and had really interesting pieces. However, most were under seasoned. I however celebrate a creative vegetarian options. My partner had the pizza napolitana. It was alright but to our taste too much cheese, whereas it should have more tomatoes. I insist, this is to our taste. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We were disappointed that upon wanting to pay we were told the card machine was not working, we said we'd pay with cash instead but realise we didn't have enough, so at this point the waiter brought the machine....which two minutes ago he had said was...

We had booked prior to arrival, which was as well as it was busy. We were clearly the only English people in the bistro but this only added to the experience as we felt very welcome. The staff could not have been more friendly and efficient. We both chose entrecotes which were cooked to perfection and delicious. We had a beer each and also chose a bottle of Brouilly which was really lovely. At the end of our meal our waiter gave us a complementary shot of amaretto and pineapple juice. the food is good amazing vibe for a place, enjoyed seating and dining we were staying at apartment near by last week beuatiful calm serene evening next to canal with light music made superb by the vibes of the restaurant evening they set up a small enclosure next to the restaurant for extra seating it feels great sitting, sipping beer and munching slowly while watching the life as it goes on in this Paris suburb will return again to same place one day. beautiful memories...
