Clutch — Restaurant in Paris

What a cosy little restaurant! It’s been a while since we have had really excellent meals (we went twice in a row 😊) in such a nice and welcoming venue! The chef is a real star, especially re his sauces and in combining subtle tastes. The menu is not very elaborate but the quality of the dishes is really good. The selection of wines per glass could have been more extensive but it pays to discuss them with the waiter and follow his suggestions. After doing so my apéritif became an excellent naturally sparkling wine. The service is quite adequate and cheerful. The staff’s interaction was very pleasant too. We came across Clutch on Google maps as it was close to our hotel, but the website showed it was full so we asked to be added to the waiting list. The chef text my husband and offered us a bar seat in front of the kitchen, which we accepted. The owners/staff were great and extremely welcoming from start to finish! They even gave us some little tasters and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I recently dined at Clutch and had an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, expertly prepared, and the front of house staff was friendly and attentive, making our meal memorable. We decided to sit at the bar and were pleasantly surprised when both the sous chef and chef took time out of their busy evening to come chat with us.
