Madame Jane Dealinger — Attraction in Paris

I came across Sarah last year after a disappointing "Emily in Paris" tour I booked from some random website in the US. The guide was late and then bailed halfway through due to an emergency. Talk about a letdown. That evening, while at a bistro in Paris, I stumbled upon Sarah's Instagram page for Not a Cliché Tours. Unfortunately, my schedule was already packed with other tours and museum visits, so I couldn’t take her tour at that time. But we stayed in touch, and even though I couldn’t commit during that trip, she still sent me great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We kept in contact, and almost a year later, when I returned to Paris for the half marathon, I knew I had to finally take one of her tours.

And let me tell you — Sarah does not disappoint. She was on time, had a goodie bag with pain au chocolat waiting for us (I dragged my teen son along, and he was thrilled!). The group was small and intimate — no giant crowds with flags and 40 people trailing behind. If you’re looking for a personal, in-depth experience, Sarah’s your guide. Born and raised in Paris, she knows the city like the back of her hand.

One of my favorite things? After our Emily in Paris tour, she recommended a great restaurant for dinner and even suggested a piano bar in the Latin Quarter for me to visit the next day when I was meeting up with a friend. Sarah isn’t just your guide; she’s your Parisian bestie — and trust me, I don’t throw that word around lightly.

The tour ended with a trip to a hidden rooftop bar that only locals know about — totally off-the-beaten-path and almost like a speakeasy. I had an absolute blast. Sarah does more than just Emily tours; she offers curated experiences, personalized itineraries, and insider restaurant/bar recommendations.

What a fantastic experience for my friend and I during our Emily in Paris tour on our last day in Paris. You absolutely cannot beat an exclusive viewing of the filming of season 4. What a surprise! We were able to witness Emily herself shooting scenes in the iconic landmarks from the show. After this excitement, we strolled along the streets of Paris under perfect weather conditions seeing more sights and reminiscing over show locations - even stopping on the lock bridge to make a wish. I went to Paris for the first time in November 2023, and I had an amazing experience with Sarah! I took the “Emily in Paris tour”, but she gave me much more than that!

She showed me the best in Paris, she told me so many interesting things about the city!

I spent only 5 days there, but I can say for sure that my best moments were with her!! I wish I had spent the 5 days in her company.
