Cozy cafe with careful attention to detail and levels of flavor. Beautifully plated. Salade d’endives au bleu et aux noix was one of the tastiest salads I’ve ever had. The saucisson lyonnaise pistaches was also a knockout. The petit salé aux lentilles had sausage and a beautiful smoky lardon with a lot of depth because the herb (thyme?) my dos de lieu was also a simple masterpiece, the mustard and mushroom sauce enveloping the perfectly cooked fish. Severely jet-lagged after overnight flight from Australia we just wanted a simple lunch and then relax in our accommodation. Right from the start the owners made us feel relaxed and welcome, especially as non French speakers. The lunch was simple but tasty, so much so that we went back twice, for dinner and another lunch, unfortunately they aren't open Sundays or we would have gone again for dinner. Read moreMy Mum, sister and I had been walking around the streets of Paris for the first time together on a trip from Australia and were struggling to find a place for dinner, until we saw Coin Pop. We were greeted by the two lovely owners who were absolutely fantastic all night, they offered great food and drinks of which thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant and service felt very authentic and genuine all night and was definitely one of the best meals I had during my four week holiday across Europe.
