El Nopalito — Restaurant in Paris

I got fooled by the high rating... I cannot explain how anyone can say that this is authentic Mexican food. The prices were high, 17 euros for my enchiladas, portions are small, food not authentic at all. I love Mexican food and its sauces and hot peppers. I asked what the hottest thing they have is, whether they had fresh Mexican hot peppers or even a hot mexican sauce. He said that all they have is Tabasco, which is not Mexican and not spicy at all, which unfortunately about sums this place up. Oh, and they have no liquor license so they don't serve cocktails or beer or wine, and their menu is misleading because they have a page called Cocktails with items like Mojito and Pina Colada, but if you look closely at the ingredients they are all non-alcoholic. I'm sure plenty of people have ordered these expecting an actual cocktail/mojito... So the food was not good, not authentic, high prices, no alcohol. There are several much better mexican...

The quality of the food was not up to my expectations. I may have been misled by the high rating, but I noticed that many of the reviewers had only posted one or two reviews. While I appreciate the restaurant's claim to be halal, I cannot say that the food was authentic Mexican. Additionally, the person who greeted us was not very polite or friendly (although I do not recall his name, I do remember that he was wearing glasses and had long hair). The service was also disappointing, as it was slow despite there being few customers and the staff were not very friendly. The "burrito" seemed more like a kebab, and it did not meet my expectations of Mexican cuisine. Overall, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant. While I would rate it negatively if possible, one star is unfortunately the minimum. I believe that improvements need to be made, and I hope that the restaurant will consider making changes to improve their food...

I had the chicken enchiladas which were really nice. My friend had the beef burger which I had a bite of and would definitely recommend. However the desserts are where I was surprised at how good they were. The tirimissu was to die for also the chocolate fondant was really nice. There mojito was also good. Will definitely be back well worth the journey!!!

They are AVS Halal certified (When I visited) thus you have that peace of mind that everything is Halal with no worries. The staff were really friendly and helpful especially the bengali waiter who went that extra mile to ensure everything...
