The food itself is not bad.
There were some mouldy slices in the stale bread they had served our group of five. After sending it back, it turned out they had a separate bread station with fresh bread which they served us. They then tried to send us another basket of stale bread which got replaced when I pushed back. I’m not sure if it was because we were foreign (from the US and UK) but I walked around the restaurant and noticed two Asian groups and a black/asian couple all had been given stale bread vs the French tables had been given fresh bread. Every single server looked me in the eye but would turn around before I had a chance to open my mouth, and they each did this 2-3 times. I would have left, but I was waiting for a friend. After 15 minutes of this ridiculousness, my friend arrived and was greeted and served literally instantly, even though I was still standing there. Read moreOne of those rare places where you instantly feel the soul of the space and the love behind every dish. Everything we tasted was excellent—from the wine to the meal to the dessert. The chou fleur, aubergine, tarama, and lotte were all bursting with flavor, each one carefully prepared and beautifully balanced.
The wines were just as impressive—especially the Perlé white, which became my instant favorite. And I’m still dreaming about their Picodon cheese.
