La Rucola — Restaurant in Paris

I visited the restaurant with a large party. While the appetisers were okay, all the cooked food was at a very very poor level. I had the spaghetti a le vongolle, they had almost no flavour, no garlic, no salt, no lemon, no olive oil, no vongole flavour. The vongole meal was recommended by the owner as a speciality!!! And still bad.

The rest of our party ordered different kinds of pasta (the tartuffo, for example) and almost everyone left around half of the food intact.

The waiter/owner of the restaurant was EXTREMELY rude to one of the guests, who specifically stated several weeks before the dinner, that she is gluten intolerant and they ignored ger or treated her passive-agressively.

The food was also overpriced. I payed 26€ for some bad linguine that I didnt even finish....

We were looking around for a dinner place that didn't require reservations as it was our first night in Paris and we had just settled in a nearby hotel after traveling for hours. We found this place almost empty, still open even if it was past 8 PM and most nearby restaurants were closed. We were greeted by the waiter who was very friendly, and even apologized to us when the only menu they had was in French (we were ready to just use Google translate), and tried to talk to us even if he spoke very little English. At this incredible Italian restaurant I found on Google, I enjoyed some truly delicious dishes. I was welcomed with such kindness—something I wouldn’t even expect from a French restaurant. I was seated at the best table, served with a smile, and treated with great care. I was very impressed.
