Miyam Aligre — Local services in Paris

I wanted to love this place because it is a good ethic of business, but both of the products I got here were completely inedible. I bought a small flat of gariguette strawberries, which looked lovely on top but were completely covered in mold on the bottom, and a loaf of pain maïz, which is a brick. It's so hard and dry I can't even cut it with a knife. Both are going in the trash which is hard because I hate to waste food. They should not sell products that are no longer fresh and...

My wife, daughter and I are staying in the neighborhood for my wife’s job for a few weeks. This is my favorite store to shop in. The products here are fantastic and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I often feel stupid and guilty in Paris not being able to speak French, but not here. Plein de très bons points : produits originaux et frais, du transformé (plats) intéressant et pas vu ailleurs et du non transformé (fruits et légumes) pas trop chers pour Paris. Personnel en général gentil et accueillant. Seul bémol : l'étiquetage parfois flou - d'où une perte de temps à la caisse car les vendeurs ne savent pas quel est le fromage et son prix, par exemple. Ou encore l'étiquetage très énigmatique du beurre sans sel avec plein de gommettes colorées ("parce que la personne qui les a mise est daltonienne" (un gros gag, non ?) et donc qui n'ont pas de signification mais qui perdent le client.
