Le Dodo — Restaurant in Paris

The food was decent, but the waiting time was quite long. It took around 30 minutes just to get the 'boulette' . The pricing was also confusing and misleading. On the menu, the "Special Mine Frite" was listed at about €13, but at the counter, we were told it actually cost €20 because it was “fresh.” However, I noticed it was reheated in a microwave, and the portion served was much smaller than expected.

Another inconvenience was that card payments were not accepted due to “internet issues,” which felt questionable considering reliable 5G and fibre are widely available in Paris. Instead, we were asked to withdraw cash from a nearby bank just one minute away, which gives the impression that cash-only payments might be intentional to avoid transaction fees. To top it off, no official receipt was issued—only a handwritten note with itemized charges.

I love to visit restaurants and sample different foods - this place was a taste of home which meant I made allowances for heating things up in the microwave which I wouldn't normally deem acceptable!

There is no real 'service', think of it as going to eat at a little cafe or at a friend's house and you won't be disappointed. I do believe all of this is reflected in the price.

I ordered dhollpuris, gato piments, samousas, and mine bouillie — everything was absolutely delicious! All the food served is halal and full of authentic flavor. The service was fast and the prices offered great value for money.
