This place was great! Our travel plans had included a layover day in Paris, but between cancelled and late trains we were left with a three hour layover instead, just enough time to leave Gare de l’Est for a bit to eat and come back.
Yummy Asian Food is only a few steps away, and turned out moments of frustration into an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. We were just keen to eat, and got more than that… this is the cutest spot with the friendliest staff ever! And not just friendly by Parisian standards, like straight up lovely and welcoming people.
After a day of train trauma we were hungry, hot and tired, so all three sides of the grumpy triangle were activated. We ordered a stupid amount of food and drink but enjoyed it all!
This is the type of restaurant where you order at the kiosk, take a number and then they bring the food out. The dining room was spacious and comfortable.
the shrimp rolls were ok. A bit tough but good flavor. the rice balls were good my son loved the rainbow roll the bao buns were huge and good, just wish the buns were a bit warmer tried the cherry lychee blossom drink and liked it so much I ordered another same thing with the gyoza. The boys scarfed them down and we ordered more.
In summary, Yummy Asian Food lived up to its name 😍if you’re in the area I’d...
Read moreI recently dined at Restaurer and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and modern yet cozy decor set the tone for a memorable meal. The staff was incredibly attentive, offering friendly service without being overbearing.
The menu offers a well-curated selection of dishes, blending classic favorites with creative twists. I started with the truffle mushroom soup, which was rich and full of earthy flavor. For the main course, I tried the pan-seared salmon served with roasted vegetables and a lemon-dill sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and moist inside. Every bite was a delightful mix of textures and taste.
One standout feature is their commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It’s evident that care goes into every dish. The dessert, a deconstructed tiramisu, was both playful and delicious—a great way to end the meal.
Restaurer also has an impressive wine list and knowledgeable staff to help with pairings. Prices are fair for the quality of food and service provided. Whether you’re out for a casual dinner or a special occasion, Restaurer hits the mark. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends.
Overall rating: 9/10. Highly recommended!

Read moreThe Good: right outside Gare de l'est. It's a good place to wait for your train and charge your cell (little cellphone locker charging station Free/Gratis! ‐ next to WC) You walk in, place your order on the touch screen, and take it to go or eat in the restaurant. There is free tap water all the way back and to the right. The fries/chips were ok a d there is ketchup on the condiment bar. The Bad: the sushi was fairly tasteless. I got the dragonroll. It looked ok but all I could taste was the overly sweet soysauce. I even tried eating each piece on its own. The tempura shrimp was small, dry, flavorless, the tobiko had no taste, the avocato i could hardly taste, the rice was thick and heavy. The bubble tea tasted good but it seems strange they charge 1 euro more for the tapioca balls - how do you cell bubble tea where the bubbles are an add-on? The sad thing about the bubble tea is that the cup and straw are plastic. The staff looked tired and overworked. I felt bad for them. The place looked cool but there were too many chairs and tables crammed together with barely any room to get to a table, even when the seats are empty! This place has great potential. I didn't get a chance to check out the shop upstairs. I hope they can change...
