We ran into the rudest waiter EVER! What a horrible way to spend our first night in Paris! We didn't catch his name but he moved to Paris from Bangladesh 8 years ago and he should consider moving back as he is a horrible reflection on this business. Things started off ok but he got offended that my sister did not want burnt or undercooked lasagna, how could it be both you ask? Well he admitted to bringing raw in the middle lasagna, asked my sister to test it, and took it back. He replaced it with burnt lasagna, dropped it on the table and said " Now it's Perfect" and then he dashed off, never to be seen again. My sister shared my fries as we WAITED for him to return. When we caught him sweeping and called him over, he become personally offended by shouting at us that cheese is supposed to be burnt as if we have not been eating lasagna longer than he has been alive. He then tried to be slick by putting the burnt lasagna on my bill when we clearly told him separate bills and that my sister would not be purchasing that burnt food. He insisted that we WOULD be paying and he would bring another. It's one thing to make a mistake but it's another to double down on said mistake. We were NOT there for a cooking competition inwhich we had to be subjected to 3 attempts at a crappy lasagna. Avoid this place, horrible food and worse...
Read moreThis place is a tourist scam! The prices are higher than shown on The Fork (for example, onion soup is 2€ more expensive, truffle pizza is 6€ more expensive!). We wanted to have a light dinner by ordering 4 onion soups and 1 pizza for the company of 4 people, to which the server told us we need to order 4 main dishes to be able to get a discount (this was not written anywhere as we were booking a table). When we said we would then like to cancel the order and leave, he insisted we stay, but asked us "how do we expect the restaurant to make profit if we order like this". In the end, the server tried to forced us to take desserts, which we declined as we were not hungry, the food was not that good and the ambience was surely not welcoming enough for us to spend more money. As we were leaving, the server said "this is the last time he is doing this kind of...
Read moreSo, interesting experience here. With The Fork application we had -50% off and I’m wondering if that’s why we had -50% off the plate too 😅 A 12€ starter of calamars? Only 5 small rings, my 25€ duck was a 1/4 of the usual half. Such a pity as the taste was good. Another thing although the waiters were nice, you could tell they were there to push you through fast. There were comfy chairs and a big screen. All Indian / Pakistani for an Italien restaurant is a bit weird for me but hey. Oh and also there were many “pretty” pictures of food that were on the menu, but not to order. All in all it’s ok if you need a place because it’s in front of the gate de l’Est station (yes yes) and you don’t have much time (fast service remember) but definitely not if you want romantic or family…and watch out if you have...
