This is a great place for the full European city experience. Now, read the other reviews and they are true, but remember they are also based on the person that stayed. I am an American, and if I had never been in any European hotel or apartment before, this would have been a 2-star experience. So, LOVES, the renovations that were done in the last year help (rooms, bathrooms, etc), and the location was perfect as it was where the locals live and eat. There are no souvenir shops within a mile, and the cafes and restaurants are very local-centric, with international ones in the mix. The room is tiny, but tall ceilings, and hall ways were only 2 inches wider than my shoulders (I'm 6-foot tall, 200lb, so not too big). We had a great price for a room that sleeps 3, and our window looked out to the buildings behind us to the west (not a great view, but yet it was awesome with good air flow). Room was clean, beds made every day, staff were friendly and helpful, and they even have a 2-person elevator (though it barely fits two people at a time). The BADs, really this only is from my American perspective, the size of the rooms, halls, and staircases, feel like you're cramped (but that's in all euro-hotels so nothing can be changed). No roomservice, nor additional amenities besides the room and a loby (but again, you're only a few steps away from bars and cafes that were awesome). I'm sure A/C would be nice in the heat of summer, but we were there at a perfect time of 75-F degree highs and perfect weather. Recommend this place for anyone just looking for a place to sleep and clean up, and to see the local ways away from the more...
Read moreDO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!! This SHOULD NOT be advertised as a three star hotel, nothing about this hotel would even come close to a three star hotel. My boyfriend and I were supposed to stay for about 9 nights, but had to cut the stay short due to an incident that happened (which will be mentioned below). So I have listed below everything that was wrong and went wrong during the time we stayed.
The elevator was out of service. The place smelled of cigarettes. The walls must be thin since I can hear people talking outside of the door or the people in the room next to me. The bathroom smelled HORRIBLY They offer “breakfast”, but when you actually go down to the breakfast area it is in construction and they actually didn’t offer any breakfast. The way down to the breakfast also smelled moldy. The photos they advertise do NOT match in person. The reason why we had to cut our stay was because there were MICE!! While my boyfriend was in the bathroom a mice had came through the pipe! And then we saw ANOTHER MICE come out on the side of the bed.
I’m warning you to NOT STAY at this place. It may be a cheap place to stay but there is a REASON why it’s cheap. This is more of a 1 star MAYBE 2 star (if they actually fixed some of the issues) hotel. Save yourself the trouble and spend your nights worry free at a...
Read morei was not sure when booking the hotel because of all the bad reviews. but when i arrived i was pleasantly surprised and relieved. I got a deal of a double room with big bed for 1 person at 205 eur for 3 nights. the room is very clean. I got one on the top floor. the elevator works but true it is small. the hotel itself is very compact as everything in Paris. The shower is clean too with hot water. no heating and it was cold in the room but i brought very warm pj from home with me and felt good. the receptionist is respectful and they clean daily. Bed was not the most comfortable but for 1 person just fine. I do anticipate if travel together this room would be small and the bed would be not super comfy to sleep. To pay more than i did would feel like lack of service and comfort. But within the price range i got it, was fair. Enjoy your trip in Paris, folks. Ah yes, very important, I followed the advice from one of the reviews and I took earplugs with me too, otherwise impossible to sleep due to the noise. It would feel like people from other rooms are with you in bed. The worst this happening to me was last day: they switched off the heating and it is -1 outside, and no hot water because all the guests more or less use it at the same time. I had to make a tough decision to have a cold shower in a cold...
